OPEN TO ALL MOTORCYCLES
Schedule: 9:00 AM All riders assemble at the Navajo Veterans Memorial Park, Window Rock, AZ. 10:00 AM Ride to Tuba City, AZ begins. The ride will begin from Window Rock, AZ to Lukachukai, AZ on BIA Route 12. 11:00 AM Arrive at Lukachukai chapter house. 11:30 AM Leave Lukachukai chapter house on BIA Route 12 to Hwy 191, Round Rock, AZ, proceeding north to Mexican Water junction and onto Hwy 160 west to Kayenta, AZ. 1:00 PM Arrive in Kayenta,Lunch Accommodations are being arranged with Kayenta chapter and the Kayenta Township, Inc. (Please be prepared to provide your own accommodations). 2:30 PM Leave Kayenta for Tuba City, west on Hwy 160, through Black Mesa and Red Lake/Tonalea, AZ. 4-7:00 PM Arrive at Tuba City chapter house. We will receive the riders from the Run For The Wall and The Rolling Thunders who will be riding in from California to join the Navajo Honor Riders. NOTE: Overnight lodging are available at the nearby hotels. Please make prior arrangements on your own. We will try to get discounted rates for the riders. * Mention that you are with the Honor Run * 8-9:00 PM Close out for the evening. Good night and thank you for your time. 7:30 AM GOOD MORNING!! Coffee time. Convene and assemble at the chapter house. Arrangements for breakfast to be made available are currently in the process. If none, please be ready to get breakfast on your own. A small ceremony will be provided to explain our purpose. 9:00 AM The 2nd Annual HONOR RIDE begins. 10:00 AM Arrive at the Hopi Veterans Memorial, Kykotsmovi, Hopi Nation, AZ. A short program will be provided with refreshments by the Hopi Veterans Service office, Mr. Mel Pavatea and staff, and the Hopi tribal officials. 11:00 AM Leave for Window Rock, AZ. 11:30 AM Fuel stop in Keams Canyon, AZ. 11:45 AM Apache County Sheriff's Department to provide escort. 1:00 PM Arrive at Apache County Office in Ganado, AZ for small ceremony. COLOR GUARD: Navajo Hornet Division U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. FLAG SONG: Jay Begay and the Cathedral Lake Singers. WELCOME: Honorable Tom M. White, Jr., Apache County Supervisor. 2:00 PM Leave for Window Rock, AZ where police escort will continue. 2:45 PM Arrive in Window Rock, AZ. 3:00 PM Arrive at the Navajo Nation Veterans Memorial Park, Window Rock, AZ. The annual Run For The Wall/Rolling Thunder ceremonial program will be conducted by the Office of the Speaker, Navajo Nation, the Blue Star Mothers Organization and the Navajo Nation Veterans Office. 5:00 PM Riders leave for Gallup, NM. *Those who want to stay behind and join the evening activities at the Navajo Nation Fairgrounds are welcomed.* 5:30PM Navajo Nation Fairgrounds. The Office of the Navajo Nation Speaker's Office will be making arrangements to provide dinner and cultural activities at the Navajo Nation Fairgrounds. Please arrange your own overnight lodging at two of the hotels located in Window Rock, AZ (Navajoland Days Inn or the Navajo Nation Inn). If you are planning to continue the ride with the Run For The Wall riders, they will be leaving Gallup, NM at about 8:30 AM from the Best Western Inn, west end of Gallup. We want to wish “happy trails" to those who will be traveling onto Washington, DC. For those who are cutting their trip short, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your support! Let us not forget those who cannot ride, we all ride for them. To ALL VETERANS, Thank you, Thank you for our FREEDOM !!!!!!!!!!!!! *** TO ALL PARTICIPANTS *** You all are WELCOMED and we thank you for being a part of our 2ND ANNUAL MOTORCYCLE HONOR RUN. Our purpose for this ride is to HONOR all veterans and in support of our troops who are located overseas and those throughout the world. The 1st Annual Motorcycle Honor Run was accomplished last year May 15, 2003. * In memory of SPC Lori Ann Piestewa of Tuba City, AZ and her company who were ambushed and killed in March 2003. * This year, we will be honoring SGT Lee "Duane" Todacheene of Lukachukai, AZ. * * A flag will be carried by King Cavalier, affiliated with Operation Carry the Flame and the Rolling Thunders, for PVT Clint Lamebear from Churchrock, NM. * We would like to extend the honor in remembrance of PFC Sheldon Hawk Eagle of Eagle Butte, SD; a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe. We ask that you obey all the rules, laws, and ordinances. This run IS NOT a race; we obey all posted speed limits. Organizers and hosts are not responsible for any type of liabilities. Rules will be explained at each stop and/or gathering before proceeding the ride. This year, we want to thank Mr. King Cavalier and Mr. George Hyatt with OPERATION CARRY THE FLAME/ROLLING THUNDER, RUN FOR THE WALL, and the NAVAJO NATION HONOR RIDERS. THANK YOU!
